A-Grade Natural Tri-Colour Jadeite Pendant with Carvings (Carp and Lotus Leaf) No.220186
An exquisite jadeite piece with intricate carvings which depicts courage, determination and strength, the perfect gift for encouragement!
The carvings are doubled side, with a pair of dancing carp twirling, with lotus bud at the bottom right side. And on the back is a clearly beautifully carved lotus leaf. This scenic piece is carved on a tri-colour jadeite material, which represents blessings (fu: 副), prosperity (禄: lu), longevity (寿: shou).
The Carp, also know as Koi fish symbolises courage and endurance, these qualities are associated with the carp because it swims against a river's flow. It also represents academic achievement and business acumen, it is also a symbol of good luck and longevity. Legendary Chinese tale tells that the Carp would attempted to swim against the powerful flow of the famous yellow river, with determination to swim through the Dragon's Gate and be transform into a Dragon.
The Lotus leaf symbolised a protection of your needs, the big leaf that acts as an umbrella to shelter. The fishes that shelter under the lotus leaves are seen as abundance.
